Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Menagerie mobile application and website (mymenagerie.pet), operated by Madcow Venture Company ("we", "our", or "us"). By using Menagerie, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the Service

Menagerie is a pet care tracking application. You may use Menagerie for personal, non-commercial purposes to track and manage care for your animals. You agree not to:

• Use Menagerie for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or interfere with the service
• Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or violates any third-party rights
• Create accounts for purposes of data scraping or automated access

Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access at hello@mymenagerie.pet. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to protect your credentials.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Menagerie, including animal profiles, photos, and care logs. By using Menagerie, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You may opt in to contribute anonymized, aggregated data to exotic animal care research. This is entirely voluntary and can be disabled at any time in Settings → Data & Privacy.

Subscriptions and Payments

Menagerie offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings. Refunds are handled according to the App Store or Google Play refund policies.

To restore previously purchased subscriptions, use the "Restore Purchases" option in Settings → Account → Subscription.

Animal Care Disclaimer

Menagerie provides care guidance and tracking tools based on general species information and community data. This information is not a substitute for advice from a qualified exotic animal veterinarian. We are not responsible for animal health outcomes resulting from reliance on information provided in the app. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical concerns.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable for data loss resulting from service outages, though we maintain regular backups.

Intellectual Property

The Menagerie name, logo, app design, and original content are owned by Madcow Venture Company. Species care data contributed by the community remains attributed to the community. You may not reproduce or distribute Menagerie's proprietary content without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Madcow Venture Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Menagerie. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Menagerie after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
